ByteBoost training program for early career researchers
The ByteBoost training program will empower researchers to make the best computing choices in the ever-changing landscape of computational technology. This initiative will focus on supporting researchers to use the technologies of three NSF-supported computing testbeds - Ookami, Neocortex, and ACES.
Target audience: We would love for everyone to attend. This is a fantastic opportunity to get help in migrating their workflows on these testbeds. We particularly encourage early career researchers (graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and Assistant Professors) from all fields of computationally inclined research to attend.
Program Highlights:
- Four webinars covering Ookami, Neocortex, and ACES
- Fully funded in-person summer workshop: Immerse yourself in an intensive week-long workshop designed to provide hands-on experience with the featured testbed architectures. Participants will gain valuable insights into the complexities and nuances of these technologies.
Webinars:
- Fr 2/16/2024, 2 - 3pm ET, Overview of the Byteboost program
- Fr 3/8/2024, 2 - 3pm ET, ACES
- Fr 3/29/2024, 2 - 3pm ET, Neocortex
- Fr 4/19/2024, 2 - 3pm ET, Ookami
Application deadline for in-person workshop:
- 2/16 - 3/16 via EasyChair
Workshop:
- 8/5 - 8/9/2024 at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Everybody can apply to attend the workshop. 25 participants will be selected and invited to Pittsburgh. Travel, lodging, and food (breakfast and lunch) will be covered by the program.
The webinars will be recorded and available online for those who can’t make it to those events. Everybody applying to attend the in-person workshop is expected to participate in the webinars.
